what makes me happy?

1. travelling. kahit just a few miles from home lang.
2. chatting with my family.
3. being pampered by tantan.
4. sleep. hours and hours of uninterrupted sleep.
5. relaxing full body massage.
6. gimmick with friends. real friends. not just the so-called ones.
7. mango. the shop =D
8. outlet shops
9. good health and safety of my family.
10. the internet
11. being debt-free
12. having a financially rewarding job
13. pigging out
14. home-cooked meals, but not by me *lol*
15. going the extra mile
16. making tantan, my family and friends happy. im a pleaser, what can i say?!
17. gifts. in all forms and sizes
18. surprises
19. 23deg celsius weather. tamang tama lang. not too cold, not to hot.
20. and this recent blessing that we have received. this actually should be on top of the list, only i made this list in no particular order *lol*

but what makes me sad?

1. bad news about someone close to me
2. unpredictable english weather. no wonder im always grumpy!
3. if i go to a shop and come out empty-handed.
4. when tantan and i are not on the same wavelength
5. wanting to eat something but can’t cook it.
6. headaches/migraines

i added this next list cause i’ve been adding things on my sad list when in fact, they irritate me more than they make me sad.

what annoys me?

1. antipatikong pasyente. kung maka demand e akala mo nd ako nagbabayad ng tax gaya nila! and akala mo ako gumagawa ng policies.
2. imitators. even if they say that imitation is the best form of flattery.
3. bad drivers, esp the ones causing accidents.
4. pretentious people.
5. people who doesnt know how to return borrowed stuff - my sister’s blog entry reminded me of this.
6. people playing dumb
7. planning then not sticking to the plan
8. leeches and parasites
9. body odor, ung dumidikit sa ilong sa tindi! *lol*
10. mess
11. people asking to be linked and waiting for you to go first. you’re asking the favor, not me.
12. not giving credits where credit is due.

i heard quite a handful of audiology graduates in the phils are migrating to australia this september. a lot of us have emigrated and settled abroad (uk, new zealand, singapore) for greener pasteurs. can’t blame them, especially with the current economic state of the phils. i think more than 50% of the graduates have gone abroad. i think canada will be opening its doors to our graduates as well, though it’s not confirmed yet. america will be very difficult to penetrate because they have very strict requirements. but im sure, once they open their doors, lots of graduates will apply. to live the american dream. but i won’t be one of them. im quite happy where i am.

i know someone who would kill to work in the US. afterall, she told everyone she’s heading there when she’s not. im sure if someone offers her audiology jobs in Chicago or anywhere in the US, she’ll grab it faster than a speeding bullet.

my colleague/friend and her husband go to florida every year. she often tells me about their trip, how fun it is there. so when we went a couple of months ago, i can totally relate! if i have my way, if money’s not an issue, i would go back every year as well. but as tantan said, there’s a lot more to see in america. so it might be years before we can go back.

anyways, when i got back from my holiday, everybody seems to be planning their Orlando vacations. one even asked if orlando-new york is a good combination. i told her shopping-wise, definitely! i think i might have convinced her =D

my mom wore this amazing necklace of freshwater pearls at a wedding. not my wedding, though she wore pearls as well. it was a friend’s niece’s wedding (see how my mom can charm her way to an invite =D) and the pearls really complemented her dress.

we’re attending a neighbour’s wedding this september. it would have been nice if i could borrow my mom’s necklace. buy how could i, when she’s in the states and the necklace is in the phils? *lol*

Aug 26thAwesome Weekend

this headache is killing me so i’ll make this short (i hope) and will let it be just a picture post.

last weekend was a blast! we all had a great time and will go down the books as the most fun tantan and i had with friends here in uk. we didnt want it to end!

this post is about how we spent our saturday. we decided to play mini-golf and swim the same day so the rest of the gang could go with us to the theme park the next day.

groups queued behind us because it took ages for us to clear one hole! according to the rules, we were only allowed to stay for 6 strokes. but since no one was telling us off, we stayed till everyone has cleared the hole, which meant we stayed up to as much as 12 strokes. each!

tantan won the game. followed by connie, el, merc, me and celine.

after the game, we had lunch at the cariba creek restaurant. then we went swimming.

we finished swimming around 6pm (me thinks). we had dinner at frankie and benny’s, where we awarded tantan his trophy for winning the golf tournament *lol*

Aug 22ndWeather Weather Lang

we’re off to alton towers this weekend with friends. i have been monitoring the weather closely, psyching myself for a possible disappointment. i can handle cold weather but rain? dreadful!

not bothered by sat’s forecast as we’re just going swimming in an indoor heated pool. what im concerned about are the forecasts for sun and mon. sunday, we’ll be playing mini golf and monday, we’ll be in the theme park. cloudy may very well turn to rain. yesterday, forecast for monday was sunny intervals and today, it turned to cloudy. im expecting the worse. im bringing our disney ponchos, just in case!

this will be my last post for the week. be back on monday (or tuesday)! have a good weekend, everyone!

ako ay nasa trabaho pa, OT, pero ngayong gabi lang. ako ay andito para suportahan ang clinic ng ent. ito ay isang mahabang gabi para sa akin kasi konti lang ang pasyente na kelangan kong tingnan. gusto lang nilang merong tao galing sa aming departamento para sa isa o dalawa o tatlong taong pd nilang ipatingin. hay, ako ay andito hanggang mga 8:30pm (5:30 pa lamang). sana matapos ng maaga at malayo pa ang byahe. subalit masasabi ko na ang pagmamaneho papunta dito ay sobrang nakaka aliw. ang ganda ng tanawin! sayang, nd ako pd kumuha ng litrato habang nagmamaneho baka makasagasa ako ng kabayo o usa.

ako ay nagtagalog kasi meron akong ksamahan sa trabaho na natunton ang website ko kakahanap nya ng mga litrato namin sa kasal. baka mabasa nya ito. hahahaha!
