this week’s photohunt theme is beautiful. and what could be more beautiful than the gift of life!

my cycle is kinda long. it varies from 30-35 days. during our outing with friends, i have been complaining of really sore boobs. i was also getting period pains so i thought i was just pms-ing.

but last monday, after we got home from our holiday, i had this strong urge to do a test. i said heck, ala naman mawawala. so i did a pregnancy test (around 7pm). i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw 2 pink lines (and they say the best time of day to test is in the morning, the 1st pee of the day)! i didnt tell tantan yet because it may be just a fluke. the next day, as soon as i got up, i got another stick to pee on. i still got 2 pink lines! still refusing to believe it, i decided to buy another test kit in case this particular brand is defective. whatdyaknow?! the same result! i told tantan already because 3 tests can’t be a fluke, right?

i had my check up with my gp this morning. yesterday, i did another test just to make sure. she will be referring me to a midwife. she told me i dont need a blood test since 4 tests confirmed it already (and those kits are pretty much accurate). is she correct? are these tests conclusive? i was just disappointed when she told me that the 1st scan will be around my 15th-16th week pa.

anyways, we’re so over the moon! im just on my 5th week, so we’re taking this one day at a time. im scared. we’re praying for an easy and safe pregnancy. so far, i have no food aversions yet. but i noticed how my sense of smell has gotten really weird. i feel nauseous at times but nothing i cant put up with. no vomiting yet, touch wood! but my boobs are really sore and tender.

the stork has finally decided to stop by. now we have a bun baking in our oven! what a beautiful treat!

congratulations on the pregnancy! take lots of care. Che pwede na magscan on 8th week to see your little peanut. Bakit 15 to 16 weeks pa tagal naman. Dito sa atin normally 8th week pa lang pwede na.

hi ivy! kung pd lang magpa scan dito, nagpascan na ko. kaya lang free kasi ung medical service nila so they tell you when you can be seen. unlike dyan sa pinas, whenever mo gusto pd. dito hindi. midwife nga lang maghandle sa akin, unless talagang difficult ung case ko. diff areas kasi diff policies. hopefully nga mascan na ko around 8 weeks. but my gp said around 15-16 weeks usually. nd pa nga ko nasched with the midwife. nirefer pa lang ako. kainis no?

kainis talaga yun lalo na when your are so excited to see your little peanut. Anyway, exciting na yan pag 15 -16 weeks makikita mo na sia ng buo unlike kapag 8th weeks parang bean palang sia.
