Crazy Doesn’t Even Begin To Cover It!

Never Ever

October20

once babies learn how to crawl, or roll over even, dont ever leave them unattended. even for a split second.

i left cayden in the middle of his huge rubber mat to go to the kitchen to wash something. i dont leave him there for a long time. i make sure i check on him every minute. when i came back, this is what i found

the look on his face! well, definitely caught in the act. good thing the cable he’s tugging at is not plugged in. and this spot is a good 2 yards, at least from where i left him.

and last sunday, he fell from our bed! the horror! he was in the middle of our bed, feet towards me. we were just playing. i turned around for a second to pick something up from the floor next thing i knew, he was already on the edge of the bed where i was, slowly falling to the floor. somehow, he managed to manoeuver himself around. fortunately, our floor is carpeted, our duvet cover is almost touching the ground, he was clinging to it. plus i sort of got to him the last minute. but he still fell. my heart was pounding like mad! he’s just 5 months, geesh! who needs apidexin to lose weight when worrying will do just that!

now i guard him like a hawk. tantan said to give cayden some space. i should not worry too much as babies learn from experience. and cayden needs to toughen up otherwise, every little thing, he’ll just cry.

still… he’s just a baby. a very wriggly one at that!

ay naku sis, tell me about it!! i cried my heart out last week when i was in a hurry to go to work and left mikka sleeping (with pillows around her) on my mom’s bed. i checked on her every so often so i knew she was sleeping soundly. then i went to the kitchen real quick to grab something to drink, then i heard mikka was crying. my heart sank, for some reason i knew she fell from the bed!!!! i think it must have been the way her cry sounded, i dunno or just mother’s instinct. gosh. i ran right away and found her on the floor!!!

good thing it was just one of those low sofa beds from ikea so it wasn’t as bad, plus my mom’s room is carpeted, thank goodness.

learned my lesson the hard way, she wasn’t hurt at all, i figured she must have crawled excitedly and got the shock of her life when she fell down :o ( regardless, i know it’s my fault. so yung setup namin ngayon, kahit anong mangyari, di pwede iwan si mikka kahit saglit lang, kasi uber likot and curious about everything!! better be safe than sorry… haaay…

    tc dearie.

I’m glad nothing bad happened to Cayden. Good thing Quino doesn’t know how to rollover yet :)

i’m so relieved Cayden isn’t hurt or anything. grabe talaga ang curiosity nila, no? don’t worry, i was told naman that babies are always watched over by their guardian angels. usually kasi ‘pag nahuhulog sila, di nakikita ng parents. lagi naman daw silang sinasalo ng angels nila :)

btw, kakatawa ang pic ni Cayden – huling-huli with that uh-oh face! :D

I know the feeliing of that heart pounding thing. They all eventually fall for some reason despite out utmost best not to let them. Rachel fell off a 2 1/2 foot high chair. But they’re so resilient that they just bounce right back to the happy babies that they are.
